Jobs are not processed but remain Queued or Scheduled

Symptoms:

JungleMail does not process any Jobs. Submitted Jobs stay Queued or Scheduled.

Error message:

No error messages.

Occurs:

Occurs when Job is Queued or Scheduled.

Cause:

If you are using  JungleMail version 5.1 or later the cause will be:

  1. JungleMail solution is not deployed to appropriate Web Application.
  2. JungleMail Engine feature is not activated in the Farm features.
  3. JungleMail Email Processing Service is not started.

If you are using JungleMail version 5.0 and earlier the cause will be one of the following:

  1. JungleMail solution is not deployed to appropriate Web Application.
  2. JungleMail Timer Job is not present  in  the farm.
  3. JungleMail Timer Job is malfunctioning.

Outcome:

JungleMail does not process any Jobs. Submitted Jobs stay Queued or Scheduled.


Solution  for JungleMail 5.1 (or later)

  1. Check if JungleMail solution is deployed to current Web Application.
    JungleMail solution should be deployed to Central Administration Web Application and all Web Applications where it will be used. Deploy JungleMail solution if not deployed. 
    Central Administration > System Settings > Manage farm solutions > enova.sp.junglemail.wsp > Deployed To.
  2. Check if the EnovaPoint JungleMail Engine is activated in the farm features on the Central Administration. Activate the JungleMail Engine farm feature if it is not activated yet.
    Central Administration > System Settings > Manage farm features > EnovaPoint JungleMail Engine > Activate. 
    Reactivating this feature should start JungleMail Email Processing Service as well. 
  3. Repair JungleMail installation: Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC) before installation on every server running it in your SharePoint farm. 
    Restart SharePoint Timer service on all servers in the farm.
    Run JungleMail installer and select Repair option.
    After  the repair  is  completed  restart SharePoint Timer service on all servers in the farm once again.

Solution  for JungleMail 5.0 (or earlier)

Do one of the following:

  1. Check if JungleMail solution is deployed to current Web Application. JungleMail solution should be deployed to Central Administration Web Application and all Web Applications where it will be used. Deploy JungleMail solution if not deployed.
    Central Administration > System Settings > Manage farm solutions > enova.sp.junglemail.wsp > Deployed To.
  2. Reactivate "EnovaPoint JungleMail Timer Jobs" web application feature. Go to Central Administration -> Application Management -> Manage Web Applications, select your web application and press Manage features button on the ribbon. 

  3. Repair JungleMail installation
    Restart the World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC) before installation on every server running it in your SharePoint farm. 
    Restart SharePoint Timer service on all servers in the farm.
    Run JungleMail installer and select Repair option.
    After  the repair  is  completed,  restart SharePoint Timer service on all servers in the farm once again.
