JungleMail | Adding Manage Subscription and Unsubscribe links to email body

A good email campaign consists not only of good content, but also of giving your subscribers a way to subscribe to particular topics, or to unsubscribe from them. In JungleMail for SharePoint you can easily add these options to each email sent. In this tutorial you will learn how to do this.

If you have enabled the subscriptions management functionality, added the Subscriptions web part to an accessible page and configured the Web Part, you can easily add a Manage Subscription or Unsubscribe link to your email body. In this tutorial you will learn how to do this for Drag& Drop templates and for Rich Text Templates.

Drag & Drop Templates

To start, run JungleMail and open an existing email template, or start by creating a new one.

For Drag & Drop templates you will find the {Columns & Links} button in the text editor on all text blocks (Title, Subtitle or Text).

Select the text block you want to edit and in the Text Editor place your mouse cursor where you want to put the link and press on the {Columns & Links} button:

On the "Unsubscribe Link" tab choose the link type ( Manage subscription or Unsubscribe). The link text will appear automatically, but if needed you can change it. Press Insert to place a link of your choosing in the desired place:

Your link is placed.

This link will now be customized for every recipient that JungleMail sends an email to.

Rich Text Templates

For Rich text templates you will find the "Subscription Link" button in the Rich text Editor's ribbon. Hover your mouse cursor over the spot where you want to insert the link and click "Subscription Link":

Select either "Manage subscription" or "Unsubscribe", modify your text if necessary and click OK:

This link will be customized for every recipient that JungleMail sends an email to.
