JungleDocs | GetView function

In JungleDocs you can use the GetView function to return items in a particular view. In this tutorial, you will learn how to do this.

The GetView() function is used to resolve items using SharePoint View configuration and allows you to use View sorting, grouping and filtering (static filter). It returns items in particular View. The syntax is as follows:

GetView("ListName"; "ViewName")

  • ListName - Name of the list you want to take data from
  • ViewName - Name of the List View

Note: You need a repeating section (table) to use GetView function. For more information on how to configure a repeating section, click here.

In JungleDocs 3.6 and later you can use additional parameters in that function. Supported additional unlimited parameters and Date conditions.

Examples:

GetView("TestList"; "All Items"; "TestBool"; "1") – additional boolean (Yes/No) parameter.

GetView("TestList"; "All Items"; "TestChoice"; "Category1") – additional choice parameter.

GetView("TestList"; "TestView"; "TestChoice"; "Category1"; "TestBool"; "0") - two additional parameters (choice, boolean).

Note: Additional parameters work only as equal condition and they are combined by and operators.
For Boolean (Yes/No) column value use "0" to filter "No" values, and "1" to filter "Yes".

Examples with date conditions:

GetView("TestList"; "All Items"; "ExpirationDate"; Today() - dynamic date used.

GetView("TestList"; "All Items"; "ExpirationDate"; "01/10/2016") - static date used.

GetView("TestList"; "FilteredDatesView") - dynamic view filters (Dynamic view also works with additional conditions from JungleDocs 3.6).

Note: time is not included, only dates.
