JungleDocs | Average, Median, Min, Max functions

In JungleDocs you can use the Average, Median, Min and Max functions to calculate values from selected items. In this tutorial, you will learn how to do this.

Average(recordSet; fieldName) - will calculate the average (mean) value from all items specified in recordSet by fieldName field.  Example using view below: Average(GetView("TimeSheet"; "AllItems"); "total")

Median(recordSet; fieldName) - will calculate the median from all items specified in recordSet by fieldName field. Example using view below: Median(GetView("TimeSheet"; "AllItems"); "total")

Max(recordSet; fieldName) - will find the largest number from all items specified in recordSet by fieldName field. Example using view below: Max(GetView("TimeSheet"; "AllItems"); "total")

Min(recordSet; fieldName) - will find the smallest number from all items specified in recordSet by fieldName field. Example using view below: Min(GetView("TimeSheet"; "AllItems"); "total")

  • recordSet – any command that returns a list of items. In examples above the GetView() function used.
  • fieldName – column name that you want to calculate or compare. In examples above the "total" column used.

For example, you can use those functions to get calculated values from a view like this below ("TimeSheet" List and "AllItems" view):
